How Buena Park City Council Elections Work

Buena Park elects its City Council members by district. The city is divided into five districts, and only residents who live within a district vote for that district's council seat. Brandon is running for District 5, so only District 5 residents can vote for him.

Election date: Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

How voting works in Orange County

Orange County uses the Vote Center model — every registered voter automatically receives a mail-in ballot in the mail before Election Day. You can:

• Mail it back, or drop it in an official ballot drop box

• Bring it to any Vote Center in Orange County and vote in person (you're not limited to a specific polling location)

• Vote in person at any Vote Center without using the mail ballot

Vote Centers are open for about 10 days before Election Day, including weekends.

How to register

• Register online at registertovote.ca.gov (you'll need your CA driver's license number or last 4 of your Social Security number)

• Standard registration deadline is typically 15 days before the election

• If you miss the deadline, Conditional Voter Registration (same-day registration) is available in California — you can register and vote at a Vote Center at the same time

Eligibility: U.S. citizen, California resident, 18 years old by Election Day, not currently serving a state/federal prison term for a felony.
